Lisa Walker & Karl Fritsch, TWO x TWO Auction

Artists Lisa Walker and Karl Fritsch are generously supporting this year’s TWO x TWO for AIDS and Art in Dallas, Texas, courtesy of The National.

TWO x TWO is an annual contemporary art auction held in the Richard Meier-designed Rachofsky House in Dallas, benefiting two organizations—the Dallas Museum of Art and amfAR, The Foundation for AIDS Research.

CONTAINMENT : The National in Auckland at Anna Miles Gallery

The National is heading to Auckland !
For one week only, The National is holding a special exhibition of objects and contemporary jewellery at Anna Miles Gallery in Auckland from 21- 27 May 2017.

‘Containment’ will feature works from New Zealand and international artists Peter Bauhuis, Vito Bila, Julie Blyfield, Robin Bold, Crystal Chain Gang, Warwick Freeman, Karl Fritsch, Gavin Hipkins, Craig McIntosh, Lindy McSwan.

Opening Sunday 21 May, 3 – 5pm
at Anna Miles Gallery, 10/30 Upper Queen St

The exhibition will be open each day from 11am – 5pm, ending Saturday 27 May at 5pm.

Object_Memory_Archive Symposium

In conjunction with Julia Holderness’ exhibition The Group: home-wares at The National (9 July – 6 August), a half day Symposium is being held at the University of Canterbury on Saturday 30 July, from 1-5pm, with keynote speaker Julia Holderness.
“Object_Memory_Archive: art histories, formal knowledge and the power and problem of what we remember” is presented by Objectspace, The National and University of Canterbury.   It is being held at LAWS 105, Law Building, University of Canterbury, Ilam Campus.  All welcome.  Click ‘Read Post’ to see full programme details.
