Craig McIntosh

21 Oct – 08 Nov 2014

This exhibition was developed as part of a larger Masters project in which Craig McIntosh is exploring fabrication, process and material.  The series of brooches and pendants in “Machined” are all made from Pakohe (argillite). Subverting tradition, McIntosh deliberately highlights the marks made by machines, marks that would normally be perfectly smoothed out and made to disappear by the carver.
